A development site at Top Street, Caherciveen, lay close to, but outside, the zone of archaeological constraint around a holy well (SMR 79:38). Monitoring of topsoil removal was carried out on 7 January 2003 and undisturbed subsoil/bedrock was exposed over the entire area of development. No archaeological finds or features were uncovered during the monitoring.
