An impact assessment of a proposed Kerry County Council housing development at Brackloon, Annascaul, noted the possibility of a cropmark enclosure on an aerial photograph of the site, though there was no trace of the site at ground level.
Five trenches were excavated by machine on the site of the cropmark. No archaeological features were encountered in any of the trenches.
