The second and final phase of monitoring was undertaken at a development site for the Housing Section of Kerry County Council (see Excavations 2001, No. 546, for Phase 1). The development site is located in Banshagh townland, east of Killorglin. Topsoil was 0.2–0.5m in depth and overlay a mix of sandy clays. No archaeological features or artefacts were recorded.
