Pre-development testing was undertaken at the site of a proposed development of 40 dwelling-houses and associated services. Eight trenches were excavated at intervals of 20m. Only in Trench C was any previous disturbance encountered, consisting of a stone dump, dated to the 20th century by associated pottery and glass fragments. No features of archaeological significance were revealed during testing.
