Monitoring of the site of a proposed dwelling-house at Lavally, Clarinbridge, was undertaken. It is near a dedicatory monument and megalithic tomb. The stratigraphy encountered throughout was similar and consisted of sod and topsoil which overlay an orange/brown sticky clay, with occasional stones. No features of archaeological significance were revealed.
