Pre-development testing was undertaken at the site of a proposed dwelling-house which was located adjacent to a church and enclosure at Carrownacroagh, Headford. The stratigraphy encountered in the three trenches excavated was similar and consisted of natural layers directly below the sod. No features of archaeological significance were revealed.
