Monitoring of ground disturbance was undertaken associated with the construction of a library and medical centre. The depth of the material excavated ranged from 1 to 1.2m. The stratigraphy generally consisted of a loose stone surface level, below which there was a brown/orange sticky clay which overlay a natural grey gravel layer. No features of archaeological significance were encountered.
