Testing of Area 3 (Phase C) was undertaken as part of a proposed residential site at Woodside, Co. Dublin. Area 3 is located at the highest point of the development site to the north-west, with a view of the Dublin Mountains to the south-west.
Four trenches were dug, each measuring 50m in length. They were located across an existing field boundary, within an area of upland pasture and within a wooded area containing the remains of a 20th-century structure and garden landscaping.
No features of archaeological significance were identified during this phase of testing.
