The site of the proposed development in the townland of Magheracar is on the very edge of Bundoran near the Leitrim border. It is on the edge of a much larger site previously excavated (Excavations 2001, No. 291, 01E0683). The proposed development is to consist of the demolition of a modern house and the construction of a new house and a slightly changed access. Testing was carried out on 5 September 2003. Four trenches, two measuring 25m by 1m and two measuring 10m by 1m, were excavated to a depth of between 0.3 and 0.4m. No archaeological remains or finds were uncovered during the course of the excavation.
