Monitoring was carried out in advance of an extension to the Mill Park Hotel, spanning the townlands of Doonan and Mullans, Co. Donegal, in response to a planning condition. It was the second investigation at the site, as work had previously been carried out by Donald Murphy (Excavations 1999, No. 136).

No archaeological material was noted in the excavated deposits. Topsoil depths of 0.2–0.55m were recorded across the site. Subsoil was changeable across the site, from yellow clay prone to leaching in the northern portion to mottled yellow-brown clay in the southern portion.
