A large field to the south of the Moyola Road is to be developed for housing. Prior to topsoil-stripping, a metal detector survey was undertaken in the hope that evidence of an engagement which occurred in the vicinity in 1641 could be found. Despite plentiful metallic finds, none appeared to be military in nature. The field was subsequently stripped of topsoil. Although some evidence of earlier field boundaries was recorded, no features of archaeological significance were noted.
