A series of test-trenches was excavated within a proposed development site at Lissycrimeen, Lislevane, Bandon, Co. Cork. The site is near Rock Castle, the remains of a medieval tower-house. The trenches were excavated mechanically. No archaeological deposits or objects were identified, with the exception of a drystone box drain/culvert located in Trench 1. Although no dating evidence was identified, it is believed that this is a relatively modern structure, as water was still running through it and its orientation would not suggest that it relates to the castle.
