Testing was carried out at this greenfield site near Carrigadrohid by Sheila Lane in 2001 (Excavations 2001, No. 188, 01E0077) and evidence for a fulacht fiadh was recorded. An exclusion zone was created around the monument and monitoring of groundworks was recommended. Monitoring of topsoil-stripping recorded natural stony clay at 0.3m; a small amount of ploughed-out fulacht fiadh material was encountered and the exclusion zone was extended to include this. No further archaeological features or finds were recorded.
