Ttesting was requested on this site at Garranmacgarrett, Kilbrin, owing to the proximity of a portion of the proposed development to a group of fulachta fiadh located 100m to the south-west, in an adjacent field. Six trenches were excavated to a depth of c. 0.3–0.4m to reveal a subsoil of orange/brown boulder clay. No finds or features of an archaeological nature were noted.
