Planning permission was granted for a dwelling-house at Curraghs, Liscarroll. The site is located to the south-west of a levelled ringfort and possible souterrain. Test-trenches were excavated on the footprint of the foundations, entrance and driveway and percolation area. The topsoil measured an average of 0.2m in depth. The subsoil recorded in all the trenches was an orange-brown sandy clay with inclusions of sandstone. No archaeological features or artefacts were recorded in any of the trenches.
