The site of a development of apartments is located on a hillside overlooking Blackpool, to the north of Cork city centre. Topsoil-stripping was monitored. Stratigraphy consisted of 0.4–0.7m of topsoil/garden soil over light orangey-brown subsoil. The topsoil contained modern household and garden rubbish, as well as tree roots. The foundations of garden walls or sheds were exposed in the north-western part of the site. No features or finds of archaeological significance were recorded.
