The proposed construction of two houses close to an ecclesiastical site required a test excavation. The development site is located just outside the constraint zone of Mourne Abbey, listed as a medieval preceptory, church and graveyard. Both house sites were extensively tested and no finds or features were uncovered during the course of this work.
