Planning permission was granted for the construction of a bungalow on a site at Ballybrack, Doneraile, Co. Cork, which lies just within the zone of archaeological potential for a fulacht fiadh. Monitoring took place in October 2003. Topsoil was removed by machine to a depth of c. 0.4m to reveal a light mid-brown clay subsoil. No finds or features of an archaeological nature were noted during monitoring.
