Testing was carried out at site P10 from 13 to 16 June 2003 as part of a programme of site-specific testing along the route of the proposed Ennis Bypass. This site consists of a number of buildings and possible enclosures. A two-storey farmhouse measuring c. 14m north-west/south-east by 6m is to be impacted upon by the project.
Three trenches were excavated to natural by machine, one to the north of the farmhouse and two to the west of a ringfort. One was opened within the farmhouse. Nothing of archaeological significance was recorded.
