Pre-construction testing was undertaken on the site as part of further information for the construction of a 12m timber pole, portacabin and associated site works for mobile communications at Ballyblood, Tulla, Co. Clare. The development site is near Knockmoyle fort, which is classified as an enclosure.
Four trenches were opened on the footprint of the proposed development, with three linear features uncovered. All of the features were cut from the topsoil and therefore considered of modern execution, probably the result of land improvement. Nothing was found associated with the nearby enclosure.
