The proposed development, to consist of a house, access lane, garage and septic tank/percolation area, is located outside Kilnaleck. It is near a ringfort, situated west of the proposed development site. A minimum 40m buffer zone between the edge of the proposed development and the ringfort will be maintained. Five trenches, 10m long by 1m wide, were excavated across the site. No evidence of any archaeological materials or deposits was uncovered during the course of the excavation.
