Testing was carried out at the site of a proposed extension to the rear of the building at 59 Main Street. A building, possibly dating from the mid-19th century, which stood on the west of the site had been demolished before testing began. Two trenches were mechanically excavated. The stratigraphy comprised rubble, grey stony clay and silty clay. No archaeological features were revealed, but some sherds of 19th-century glass and ceramic were recovered.
