The proposed development, to consist of a house and related services, is within the zone of archaeological potential for Belturbet. Testing was carried out on 7 September 2003. Three trenches, measuring 15m by 1.2m, were excavated across the site to a depth of between 0.6 and 1.1m. No archaeological features or finds were uncovered during the course of the excavation.
