Monitoring was undertaken of limited and shallow groundworks associated with the renovation of a granary in the centre of the village of Leighlinbridge. Due to the shallowness of the excavated trenches (0.3m deep) and overburden of modern building debris, it was not surprising that there was no evidence of archaeological deposits within the granary.
