This site was uncovered during monitoring along the line of the proposed N11 motorway. It represented the plough-truncated remains of a fulacht fiadh, of which only the associated subsoil-cut features survived. A single trough was identified, measuring 1.8m north–south by 1.84m and cut into subsoil to a depth of 0.45m. The trough contained a number of fills, which consisted of varying layers of burnt-mound material. No evidence of a lining in the trough was recorded.
A hearth was recorded c. 20m north-west of the trough. The hearth measured 2.75m north–south by 1m and was cut into subsoil to a depth of 0.12m. It contained a single fill, which again appeared to consist of burnt-mound material. Evidence of in situ burning was also noted. Three post-holes were recorded, cut into the sides of the hearth.
The remainder of the site consisted of a series of small pits and post-holes, which were scattered randomly around the hearth.
