Monitoring of the excavation of two foundation trenches was undertaken at the site of a proposed development at the corner of Selskar Street and Well Lane, Wexford, on 20 December 2002. The site was in the zone of archaeological potential of the town, c. 50m north-east of Selskar Abbey.
Nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered. Further monitoring will be undertaken in 2003.
