The site of an extension to the rear of a 19th-century premises at the Quay, New Ross, Co. Wexford, lies within the zone of archaeological potential of the historical town. Testing was required before the start of development, and a test excavation was undertaken on 4 June 2002 along the line of the foundation trench for the wall of the extension. This revealed no finds or features of archaeological significance.
