This was an isolated pit measuring 1m (north–south) by 0.6m by 0.25m deep. The pit had gradually curving sides and a concave base and displayed evidence of in situ burning. It was filled with a dark grey/brown clay with occasional inclusions of burnt sandstone and charcoal.
