Testing was carried out before the construction of seven two-storey houses on the site of a former garage on King Street Upper, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. Four trenches were mechanically excavated. The sediments contained in all four were consistent. Modern hardcore lay over a black/brown, clayey silt. It contained occasional sherds of 18th-century pottery, clay-pipe fragments and charcoal and is probably an 18th-century garden layer. No features or finds of archaeological significance were uncovered.
