Recording and monitoring of the removal of a vernacular cottage and outbuildings was undertaken on 10 April 2002, and monitoring of the digging of foundations for a single-storey dwelling occurred on 16 April. Although nothing of archaeological significance was encountered during the digging of the foundations, the remains of two rotary querns were recovered from the walls of the cottage.
