On foot of a survey of standing remains and a desk-based assessment of the proposed development at 10 Main Street, Roscrea, monitoring of the excavation of foundation and service trenches took place, after site-clearance works involving demolition of the standing building remains. Despite the location of the development on Main Street, nothing of archaeological significance was noted.
