The proposed route of the Cashel N8 Bypass will cut through this lane. A 10m-long section of the lane was photographed and recorded. The lane appears on the first edition of the OS maps (1841) and was recorded by Taylor and Skinner in the late 18th century as one of the roads between Cashel and Killenaule. The lane was bounded on either side by drystone walling, 0.9m high on the northern side and 1.35m high on the southern side. The surface of the lane was cobbled, with evidence that repairs had been undertaken at various times in the past. The centre of the lane was slightly higher, allowing surface water to flow to the sides.
