Testing was carried out before the construction of a dormer-style dwelling at Tinvoher, Loughmore, Co. Tipperary. The site is on the eastern outskirts of the village and is bounded at the east by the River Suir. The village of Loughmore is a Recorded Monument that encompasses a ringwork, a church and graveyard site, a watermill, a fortified house and a tower-house. Of these, the fortified house and castle are directly south of the site, and the mill is immediately across the river from it. Eleven trenches were excavated. Nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered.
