Monitoring was carried out in three stages over a number of months on a proposed residential development at Garrykennedy, Portroe, Co. Tipperary. The development site is just south and south-east of an enclosure (SMR 19:13). The natural boulder clay was exposed below the ploughsoil. No archaeological features were revealed during any of the stages of topsoil-stripping on the site.
