Investigation was undertaken at this location because of the proximity of the N74 Link Road (part of the N8 Cashel Bypass) to a Recorded Monument. An area measuring c. 140m north–south by 35m was investigated by a series of trenches. No evidence of archaeological remains was uncovered.
