Pre-construction strip testing was undertaken on c. 1.5km of the proposed N8 Cashel Bypass, N74 Link Road. A strip was opened along the centre-line of the proposed road, with offsets every 25m on alternate sides, extending the width of the road-take. Some clusters of features were uncovered, such as two or three stake- or post-holes. Most of the features were isolated. They were half-sectioned and recorded; their location was pinpointed; and they were backfilled and left for resolution at a later date.
