A development at the corner of Bridge Street and the Quay was monitored. The site is on land that was reclaimed from the medieval river; the medieval and early post-medieval riverside would have been at the Strand, 20m to the north. An arch uncovered in the bridge beside the site may be of 15th- or 17th-century date.
