The development site of a single house, access lane, septic tank and percolation area was within the bounds of an ancient field system. The archaeological site comprised a large stony field, with several possible ancient field boundaries extending in a general north–south direction. There were no visible archaeological features within the area immediately to be affected by the development. The nearest visible ancient field boundary was more than 20m east of the proposed septic tank. Testing of the proposed development site revealed no evidence of archaeological activity.
