Ballycon Bog is a Bord na Móna bog that has gone out of milled peat production and was surveyed on behalf of Dúchas as part of the Peatland Survey 2002. It is c. 6km east of Daingean, immediately south of the Philipstown River. It comprises 273ha and is adjacent to Derrycricket Bog to the south and Cloncreen Bog to the east. Two single posts were recorded along the north-eastern edge of the bog.
