Testing was undertaken at the site of a proposed residential development at Church Street, Banagher, Co. Offaly, on 21 December 2002. The site is within the zone of archaeological potential of Banagher and is to the immediate south of the site of a late medieval church and graveyard. This monument is on high ground, and the proposed development site had been cut into the base of this ground during the 19th century.
Five trenches were excavated, but no features or finds of archaeological interest were uncovered.
