Monitoring before the insertion of cathodic protection beds was carried out on a site at Moyfin, near Clonard, Co. Meath, as part of the Bord Gáis Éireann Pipeline to the West project (Section 1A: Ballough to Kinnegad). Topsoil-stripping, trenches and ground-bed excavations extending over an area 250m long were monitored. There were no archaeological features in the area. The only feature of note in the entire wayleave was a short stretch of stone-filled field drain. The only finds recovered were a sherd of brown-glazed modern pottery, three sherds of blue glass from a bottle and an iron spike, of probable modern agricultural origin.
