Monitoring of the construction of a dwelling-house in the village of Kilmessan, Co. Meath, was carried out. Monitoring of the excavation of foundation trenches for the building revealed that the area had been substantially disturbed by the construction of a factory about 40 years ago. No features of archaeological significance were exposed, and no finds were recovered.
