Monitoring before the insertion of cathodic protection beds was carried out on a site at Cooksland, near Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath, as part of the Bord Gáis Éireann Pipeline to the West project (Section 1A: Ballough to Kinnegad). Topsoil-stripping and trench and ground-bed excavations extending over an area 370m long were monitored. There were no archaeological features, and the only finds recovered were three sherds of modern white-glazed pottery and a sherd of brown-glazed modern pottery.
