Testing was undertaken at a proposed mixed development site at Main Street, Clonee, to the rear of The New Grasshopper Inn. Nine trenches, with a combined length of 325m, were mechanically excavated. A single feature of archaeological significance was uncovered: a narrow (2.4m), shallow (<0.12m) spread of fire-cracked stone and charred material.
