Testing was carried out on a proposed development site in Athlumney, Co. Meath. The site was c. 100m south and south-west of three monuments: an Anglo-Norman motte (SMR 25:33), a tower-house and fortified house (SMR 25:32) and a medieval church and graveyard (SMR 25:31). Eight trenches, c. 30m long, were excavated on the site. No archaeological indicators were identified in the excavation.
