All ground disturbance on the Westport Main Drainage Scheme was monitored. Several areas of archaeological interest have been uncovered in Rossbeg, Deerpark East, Attireesh and Gortaroe townlands. These were resolved under separate licences: 01E0231, 01E0232, 01E0562, 01E0563, 01E0650 and 01E1042 (Excavations 2001, Nos 927, 926, 906, 907, 911, 912), and 01E1042 ext. (No. 1396, Excavations 2002).
