Monitoring of the Knock Sewerage Scheme was undertaken in the village of Knock and its environs (Carrowmore, Churchfield, Drum and Ballyhowley townlands). The excavation of the pipeline and the extraction of a block of c. 5.34ha of peat were monitored. One spread of burnt material was identified, in Drum townland; this was excavated under licence 02E1016 (No. 1388, Excavations 2002). The scheme is currently nearing completion.
