Monitoring of groundworks for the construction of a house, garage and septic tank in Drum townland, Knock, Co. Mayo, was carried out on 15 November 2002. The development is within the constraint zone of an enclosure, SMR 92:24, 16m from the east gable of the proposed dwelling.
The stratigraphy encountered was topsoil, 0.25–0.35m thick, above orange/grey/brown, friable silt loam (natural subsoil). Nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered.
