Monitoring of groundwork associated with the proposed construction of seven houses took place at Derryloughan More, Newport. The site was near the old railway embankment of the Westport–Achill line. Material from the embankment to the north, along with some topsoil, was removed and deposited on lower ground to the south. There was no threat to any archaeological material.
