Three trenches were mechanically excavated during pre-development testing. The removal of sod and topsoil revealed a light brown/orange, clayey subsoil. This overlay a grey sandy natural layer with frequent large boulders in Trench 1 and a grey natural gravel with frequent stone in Trenches 2 and 3. The stratigraphy encountered did not reveal any evidence of features of archaeological significance.
